STEM Brasil Director speaks at independent games festival
Marcos Paim, STEM Brasil‘s Director and Worldfund’s Head of Technology, was a guest speaker at BIG Festival – International Developers Conference & Games Exhibition on July 1st in São Paulo, Brazil. BIG is the largest independent games festival in Latin America.
Marcos Paim was part of the panel ‘BIG Impact: Building the Play – Learning Maker’. Among all the activities we carry out on a day-to-day basis, there are those that have the power to bring us closer to the state of being creative. Inventing, building and playing are ways of putting creativity into action, and can be leveraged with objects, methods and platforms, bringing sense and meaning to learning. That was the panel’s main theme.
The speakers were: Rafael Oliveira (Maker Robotics), Adalberto Pereira do Santos (FabLab CEU Três Pontes), and Marcos Paim (STEM BRasil Director). The panel’s moderator was Leonardo Rosa, from Equipe FIRST.
Every year, BIG showcases the best independent games from around the world. This year’s edition had 70 international speakers and 140 Brazilian ones.
