Teacher and Principal Training

Since 2007, Worldfund has launched four programs which provide intensive professional training to public school teachers and principals in Mexico and Brazil. All four programs share the common goal of transforming educational practices to help practitioners address the most critical challenges they face today. In addition to instruction on pedagogical topics, these programs impart practical skills and emphasize the establishment of networks of teachers and principals.

Worldfund’s teacher and principal teaching programs have been made possible through the partnerships of Worldfund and:

  • IAPE (Inter-American Partnership for Education): Bécalos, Dartmouth College’s Rassias Center for World Languages and Cultures, and Nextel de México, with additional generous support from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation and from participants' home institutions.
  • Amiga Cartonera: The Cultural Agents Initiative at Harvard University and Mano Amiga Chalco
  • School Leadership Program: Excelencia Educativa, New Leaders for New Schools, Bécalos, TenarisTamsa, the Secretary of Public Education of Guerrero, the Secretary of Public Education of Veracruz, Programa Escuelas de Calidad, and Deutsche Bank.
  • STEM Brasil: Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD), Instituto de Co-Responsabilidade pela Educação and EMTA Foundation
